Walmart adds 15 more cash and carry stores in India, make an addition of two store in New Orleans and one in Savannah.
Walmart Store Incorporation, is evidently in no mood to put a pause on its expansion. It has made reports of opening various stores in just this week in many countries. It is opening 15 more cash and carry stores in Andhra Pradesh, India and has also set up its Centre for producing agricultural food products from different farmers. The international retail chain is globalizing its productions centers and store more and more every year.
Walmart Stores Inc. has its separate president of operation in India, Krish Iyer, who informed that the business already has three stores in the region and is planning to add 15 more. The business will also be investing in employee training and working with farmers who work on a small scale in the area. The president of Walmart India, Krish said, “The efforts are visible. The events on the ground t=do take time and I believe in the next 12 to 18 months, we are going to see some significant results visible on the ground itself.”
In other news regarding the openings of various Walmart stores around the globe, there were reports that another addition was made in Savannah, where the company’s first store was opened at 7:30 AM on Wednesday on Abercorn Streets. However this store occupies land of 42,000 square feet, which makes it fairly easy to locate. It consist of not just grocery item, but different kind of merchandise and even pharmacy items. This store will be open at all times, 24/7, offering the new customers fresh food items and branded products, health beauty, pet items and cleaning equipment. The store will also consist of a drive0trhu pharmacy.
A few days ago Walmart Wholesale expanded more in New Orleans by opening two new stores in Meraux and Gretna. The Gretna store will be operational on the 13th of January, and the Meraux store will be opening and operational on the 27 January. The company’s store are usually bigger in size, however both of these store are the same size the Savannah store is, 42, 000 square feet unlike the usual 260,000 square feet stores of the retailer.
The giant retailer is becoming bigger this year with the addition of many stores in different countries and cities. It is investing in opening many stores which mean the business will have to invest even further when it’s come to employees. The company is making huge expenditures this year and nothing is stopping it from doing this so far.
Walmart stock closed at $63.61, going red by 0.95% on January 12.
